The Healthcare Cybersecurity Foundation’s mission is to protect the healthcare ecosystem through cybersecurity solutions that safeguard patient data, secure critical medical systems, and ensure uninterrupted healthcare operations.
The primary activity of the Healthcare Cybersecurity Foundation is to perform fundamental research on healthcare cybersecurity, with all research to be published in science-related venues, free and open to the public.
This research is conducted in full compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security regulations, and is performed in coordination with healthcare administrators, computer scientists, doctors, nurses, and economists. Results are published in peer-reviewed top conferences such as the cybersecurity conferences hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
The interdisciplinary nature of the Foundation’s research publications will reduce the future impact of cybersecurity threats to our national healthcare infrastructure. The Foundation presents its healthcare cybersecurity work as objective research and education, with public-facing outputs such as peer-reviewed publications and workshops.
Our work brings together researchers from universities, doctors, managers of healthcare systems, IT professionals in the healthcare industry, and other participants in communities where healthcare cybersecurity is a critical topic.
